Two hundred people were arrested in Philadelphia over the weekend as protests and looting swept through the city’s streets. The unrest has come as a response to the police killing of Walter Wallace, Jr., a Black man suffering from mental health issues. Despite the arrests, law enforcement forces have yet to bring to justice the officers behind the deadly shooting. The demonstrations both reflect the nation’s frustration towards rampant impunity in cases such as this and embody the cries for justice and racial equality.
