Ukraine President Zelenskyy is under pressure from both US Republicans and Democrats to answer questions related to the delay of US aid to Ukraine while the US government was in shutdown. Republicans have accused Zelenskyy of playing a part in the delay, although Democrats argue this is a distraction from the political issue at hand. Zelenskyy continues to deny any involvement in the shutdown and is pushing for an end to US and Ukraine’s diplomatic gridlock.
