Post navigation NASA will be launching two spacecrafts, STEREOA and STEREOB, to study the sun. These spacecrafts will take unique images of the sun from different angles, allowing NASA to study solar storms and activity. On August 12th, both STEREOA and STEREOB will pass by Earth to check for their health. On August 20th, 2023, the rare event of a Blue Supermoon and the Perseid Meteor Shower will both be visible. A Supermoon is when the moon appears slightly closer and brighter than normal, while the Perseid Meteor shower is an annual shower of shooting stars. This is an event which hasn’t happened since 1866, and won’t again until 2037.
