With use of the reverse-engineering tool “nvflash,” hackers have been able to bypass Nvidia’s GPU bios lock for the first time since 2013. This allows modding of almost all of the most recent Nvidia GPUs. This means modified bios can be used to overclock the GPUs or to strip the digital rights management (DRM) protection that enforces anti-piracy measures.
