Yang Huiyan, property developer and major shareholder of Country Garden, is now the world’s richest woman, worth $77.3 billion. The Chinese tycoon surpassed Alice Walton, the Walmart heir, after Country Garden shares rose 1.5%. The majority of Huiyan’s wealth comes from her controlling stake in Country Garden, which is one of China’s largest real estate developers.
