A boy visiting the Hecht Museum in Israel accidentally knocked over a 3,500-year-old Bronze Age jar, shattering the rare and valuable artifact. The jar, dating between 2200 and 1500 B.C., was displayed near the entrance without protection to show it “without obstructions.” Lihi Laszlo of the museum clarified that the damage was accidental and the response would reflect that, unlike intentional damage cases that involve police. The jar likely carried supplies like wine and olive oil.
