After postponing the Polaris Dawn launch, SpaceX proceeded with two Starlink satellite launches early Wednesday, one from Florida and one from California. The Florida launch’s first stage failed to land on a droneship, breaking apart and ending a streak of 267 successful recoveries. Despite this, the second stage successfully deployed 21 Starlink satellites. The California launch was called off. The Florida launch was cleared after Polaris Dawn was delayed due to weather. The first stage’s landing leg collapsed, causing the booster to tip into the Atlantic. SpaceX confirmed the mishap on social media.
