World New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is facing calls for his resignation following the corruption case against his longtime confidante and former top aide, Robert Menendez. Menendez was convicted of 14 counts of bribery and corruption on Wednesday, and many say Murphy’s close relationship to him is cause for concern when looking at corruption in government. He has established the White House Office of Domestic Violence and Firearms, which will devise and coordinate efforts from multiple government agencies to reduce the number of lives lost to gun violence. The new office is the first of its kind and is expected to help prevent further gun-related deaths and tragedies in the future. World A bus carrying the Farmingdale High School Band suffered a crash on their way to a performance in Pennsylvania. The bus drove off the roadway and crashed into a barrier. Two adults were injured and 18 students were taken to the hospital— eleven for minor injuries and seven for observation. All students and adults were released from the hospital on the same day. World Ukraine President Zelenskyy is under pressure from both US Republicans and Democrats to answer questions related to the delay of US aid to Ukraine while the US government was in shutdown. Republicans have accused Zelenskyy of playing a part in the delay, although Democrats argue this is a distraction from the political issue at hand.
