Boeing’s Starliner capsule, on its first astronaut mission, is performing well enough to stay in orbit beyond the planned 45 days, NASA reports. Docked at the ISS since June 5, Starliner is in good shape but experienced issues with some reaction control system (RCS) thrusters and helium leaks. Testing continues to identify the root causes, with ground thruster tests starting soon. Despite these issues, the capsule is stable, and only one of its 28 thrusters will be offline during undocking. The extended mission aids in understanding necessary design changes for future missions.
