Comet A3, also known as C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS), is currently not visible to the naked eye and is best seen through imaging. It will reappear in the northern hemisphere’s twilight around October 12, becoming easily visible and possibly very bright for about two weeks. The comet will be closest to Earth on October 12, passing 44 million miles away, but will set shortly after sunset. Visibility improves from October 13-18 as it sets later each night. Look west immediately after sunset to see it.
