Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS is providing a stunning early-morning display, visible until Oct. 2 and again from Oct. 12 to Oct. 30, with its closest approach on Oct. 13. Astronauts on the ISS are also enjoying the view. Discovered on Jan. 9, 2023, at China’s Purple Mountain Observatory and confirmed as a comet by ATLAS on Feb. 22, 2023, it’s the first time in 80,000 years the comet has been visible.
