Hamas’s armed wing, the Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for a shooting in Jaffa, near Tel Aviv, killing seven and wounding many. The attackers, Mohammed Misk and Ahmed al-Haimoni from Hebron, infiltrated Israel, armed with an assault rifle and knife. One attacker was killed, the other wounded. Israeli authorities arrested several suspects in Hebron and Jerusalem. The attack coincided with Iran’s rocket barrage on Israel. The conflict between Israel and Hamas has intensified since October 7, with significant casualties on both sides.
