Masoud Pezeshkian, the sole moderate candidate, won Iran’s presidential run-off with 53.7% of the votes, totaling 16.3 million out of over 30 million ballots. His rival, Saeed Jalili, received 44.3% or 13.5 million votes. Pezeshkian, who aims to open Iran to the world, acknowledged the challenges ahead and called for unity among Iranians, pledging not to abandon them.
