NASA and SpaceX continued prelaunch activities at Cape Canaveral’s pad 40 despite delaying the Crew-9 mission to the ISS due to Tropical Storm Helene. Originally set for Sept. 26, the launch is now rescheduled to no earlier than Sept. 28 at 1:17 p.m. EDT. The storm, expected to become a hurricane, will impact Florida’s Space Coast. NASA, SpaceX, and Space Force conducted a dry dress rehearsal with astronaut Nick Hague and cosmonaut Alexandr Gorbunov. SpaceX will also perform a static fire test of the Falcon 9 rocket, which previously launched the Starlink 10-5 mission.
