NASA is set to launch the Europa Clipper mission on October 10 from Kennedy Space Center, using SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket. The $5.2 billion mission, spanning from 2015 to 2034, aims to explore Jupiter’s moon Europa to determine if it can support life. Europa, believed to have a salty ocean beneath its icy crust, will be studied by the Clipper probe, NASA’s largest planetary spacecraft. The probe will travel 1.8 billion miles over five and a half years, conducting nearly 50 flybys to gather detailed environmental data.
