NASA’s CHAPEA crew members Anca Selariu, Nathan Jones, Ross Brockwell, and Kelly Haston will exit their simulated Mars habitat after 378 days on Saturday. The crew simulated Mars walks and grew vegetables to help prepare NASA for future Moon and Mars missions. They lived in a 1,700 square-foot 3D-printed habitat at Johnson Space Center, enacting Mars mission operations and facing stressors like isolation and communication delays. A welcome ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. EDT, viewable on NASA platforms.
