NASA’s SpaceX Crew-9 mission to the ISS, set for Sept. 28, will launch with only two astronauts instead of four. This change was due to the need to reserve seats for two NASA astronauts currently on the ISS who couldn’t return via Boeing’s Starliner due to propulsion issues. The Crew-9 roster now includes commander Nick Hague and Roscosmos mission specialist Aleksandr Gorbunov. NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Stephanie Wilson will wait for another flight. The Starliner crew, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, have an emergency egress route via the docked SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft.
