Ophthalmologist Elias Jaradeh has been working tirelessly to treat patients with eye injuries after thousands of Hezbollah’s hand-held devices exploded across Lebanon, killing at least 39 and wounding around 3,000. Many victims, including civilians, suffered severe eye damage as the devices detonated while being looked at. Jaradeh, who has performed numerous eye surgeries with minimal sleep, described the situation as unprecedented and tragic. The explosions, believed to be orchestrated by Israel, have overwhelmed Lebanese hospitals, reminiscent of the 2020 Beirut port blast.
