Qaid Farhan Alkadi, 52, was rescued from a Hamas tunnel by Israeli special forces after 11 months in isolation, mostly in complete darkness. Found 25 yards underground in Gaza, he was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center. Alkadi, who was abducted during the Oct. 7 attack, had no access to radio or TV and was unaware of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. He lost significant weight but endured due to his strong personality and beliefs. He returned to his Bedouin village on Wednesday.
