Scientists have discovered thousands of exoplanets, some of which are quite unusual. HD 189733 b, located 65 light years away, is larger than Jupiter and experiences extreme weather, including molten glass rain and 5,000 mph winds. Discovered in 2005, it recently revealed another oddity: its atmosphere likely contains hydrogen sulfide, which smells like rotten eggs. This discovery, made by the James Webb Space Telescope, is significant as it helps scientists understand planetary formation and the presence of such molecules outside our solar system.
