An annular solar eclipse, creating a “ring of fire,” will be visible over parts of South America on Wednesday. This occurs when the moon is farthest from Earth, partially blocking the sun. The eclipse will be visible in Rapa Nui, Argentina, and Chile, while a partial eclipse can be seen in various locations including Hawaii and Mexico. Use certified eclipse glasses or a solar viewer to safely observe. The event will occur from 12:50 p.m. to 4:39 p.m. ET.
