Firefighters, aided by water-drop aircraft and bulldozers, are making progress, but the fire is anticipated to continue spreading within the next few days. Officials expect to have the fire fully contained by Saturday. Containment doesn’t mean that the fire is out, so precautionary measures are still strongly advised.

Firefighters are battling the flames and thankfully no other injuries have been reported. The cause of the wildfire is still being investigated, but residents fear more destruction may follow if the situation isn’t contained soon.
Maui is dealing with a large fire that has spread over thousands of acres of land. The fire has led to the evacuation of thousands of people in the area with about 50 people that are unaccounted for. Currently firefighters are fighting the blaze, however, their efforts are hindered by strong winds.
