Mississippi police officers unjustly arrested a young activist, Dexter Wade, in 2019 for peacefully protesting. After protests and petitions by the NAACP, an investigation was launched to look into potential police misconduct. After warning the officers of their responsibility, and a court order demanding investigation evidence, the police buried the files. This shows a blatant disregard for justice of an innocent young man.
Legendary TV game show host Bob Barker has died peacefully at home Tuesday at the age of 99. His iconic career on The Price is Right spanned over 35 years and he was well-respected in the entertainment industry. Barker won 10 Daytime Emmy Awards while hosting, as well as receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also a passionate advocate for animal rights, having raised over $175 million on his own for charities to help animals. He will be dearly missed by all.
President Donald Trump was recently confronted on his own golf course in Sterling, Virginia, by a group of protesters who were peacefully advocating for the closure of his golf course due to its environmental impacts. Trump subsequently had his private security officers remove the demonstrators from the property and the incident was later reported to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s office. The activists do not intend to be deterred by the president’s actions and will continue to fight for the closure of his golf course.
