California Institute of Technology (Caltech) has recently settled a legal battle with tech giants, Apple and Broadcom, over a seven-year long patent dispute. The dispute was allegedly over a certain type of Wi-Fi chip technology in Apple and Broadcom products, although the details of the settlement remain confidential. Both parties have decided to now cooperate with each other towards new technologies moving forward, signifying the end of a long legal battle.
Golfer Phil Mickelson recently settled a lawsuit that had been filed against him for insider trading. The lawsuit was in regards to an investment by Mickelson which had been recommended by an infamous gambler, Billy Walters. Mickelson agreed to pay back his gains plus interest and to cover the SEC’s legal fees.
