A 2,492-carat diamond, the largest found in over a century and the second-biggest ever, was unearthed in Botswana. President Mokgweetsi Masisi showcased the fist-sized stone, weighing about half a kilogram, at a viewing ceremony. Masisi expressed awe, calling it “overwhelming.” Officials have yet to value the diamond or determine its sale method. A smaller diamond from the same mine sold for $63 million in 2016.
