The Polaris Dawn launch has been delayed twice: first to August 28 due to a helium leak, and then again due to unfavorable splashdown weather conditions. Jared Isaacman, who previously flew on the Inspiration4 mission, is returning to space with Polaris Dawn. This mission aims to fly farther than any previous SpaceX Dragon capsule mission, traverse the Van Allen radiation belt, and conduct the first commercial spacewalk at around 700 kilometers above Earth, testing SpaceX’s EVA suits.
