Two Russian-born Australian citizens, a married couple, have been charged with preparing for espionage after allegedly obtaining military information to hand to Russian authorities. The woman, a 40-year-old Australian Defence Force technician, and her 62-year-old self-employed husband were arrested in Brisbane. They allegedly accessed Australian Defence Force material related to national security. The woman reportedly traveled to Russia without notifying authorities and instructed her husband on accessing her work account. They appeared in court and were remanded in custody, with no significant compromise identified so far.
